It is important to strive to have a good work life balance by setting time aside for you and or your family.

What personality type is needed in this industry?
You will hear people say, you must be so outgoing or loud! I’ve seen the quietest people become very successful. You do not have to be the loudest person in a room to get noticed. What is important is how you treat people, how you talk to them. Respect and kindness go along way. Think back to a sales person that you have worked with in the past and enjoyed working with them. What was their personality like? How did they make you feel?
So what kind of Real Estate can you sell?
Well, good question. What kind interest you? Residential – houses, townhouse, condo’s? Or Farms, acreages. What about Commercial Real Estate, Industrial, Small or large businesses?
How do I find a good Real Estate company to work for?
Take the list of questions we provide you and make 4 – 5 appointments with the Real Estate Managers and go meet them. See the premises, meet the staff and other realtors. Ask your questions. But also ask yourself do you want to work with a National company or a small boutique? Do you want to work in Projects selling condo’s or would you like to work in a team at the start to learn the ropes. So knowing this might help you decide.
Is there a demand for Real Estate Agents?
People always buy and sell in all markets. People come and go. There will be a demand for real estate salespeople as the public turn to these professionals to purchase a home, relocate, buy for their business, divorce, etc.
But should I get into Real Estate if the market is slow?
You wouldn’t want to jump in a hot busy market. There is no time for learning as things move too fast. Often there are multiple offers and you run yourself ragged and can loose out on getting your offer accepted. The best time is a normal or slow market. Now you have time to show buyers around, talk to your sellers, get things in order, learn more. Catch you breath while you learn.
Real Estate is an investment or a home. You are either the person that’s going to help the buyer or seller achieve this or not. If you believe you can do this, then that’s your motivation right there!
