Since most people find that tackling the UBC correspondence material on their own is very challenging and it often ends in student’s failing the Exam, Real Smart offers courses that help you navigate the UBC exam materials and PASS the UBC Exam. You must pre-register with the UBC Sauder School of Business prior to joining a Real Smart class; otherwise, you won’t have all the UBC materials you need. You are not to write the UBC exam without registering for the UBC Correspondence Course. Although we provide supplementary workbooks and other tools, you still need the UBC material. Pre-reading UBC materials before class and completing assignments after class is required by UBC, before they’ll allow you to write their exam.
You can, but: the exam questions can be laid out in a very confusing and tricky way. The UBC course does not provide a formula for the math questions. Real Smart does! Having been a Realtor won’t necessarily help you pass the UBC Exam. Great industry experience will help you understand the material; but it likely won’t prepare you for tricky exam questions. Yes and No. If your intention is to just take the course and NOT write the UBC exam then yes, you can borrow your friend’s books and come into our class. But, if your intention is to write the UBC exam and be licensed as a Realtor or Mortgage Broker, it is mandatory by UBC to register with them and pay a fee to write their exam.

Before attempting the exam you must have accomplished two things:
you must have completed and passed all the UBC assignments within the UBC timeframe, and you must have handed in your English requirements. Then you are ready to register for the UBC exam.

FAQ's about what happens after the exam
You can wait 3 months to re-write the UBC exam if you fail the first time. There is a fee to write the exam a second time. If you fail a second time, you must wait one year from the date of registration. You’ll be required to pay the UBC a correspondence fee again, complete all assignments again, and write the exam again. You will have 3 hours to answer 100 multiple choice questions.
