What happens if I run out of time?
Because we have the course all laid out for you in logical order with a course outline for you to follow, you will have more than enough time to go through the course and then again to review. But if you find you might need more time, no problem we offer an extension for another 4 months of access for a small fee.

The UBC Real Estate Trading Services Course
The UBC Real Estate Course is very technical, legal, and dry, plus the math is very challenging for most. Our students tell us they couldn’t have made it through the UBC materials without our course, especially our exclusive math program. It would have taken over a year to complete on their own.
We know what to expect for the UBC exam (because we write it most years) and we make sure we cover the course very thoroughly. All our material is constantly updated with any new changes to the course as it happens.
UBC Course Requirements
You need to register with UBC Sauder School of Business and pay their fee. There is no getting around this. The Real Smart fee is in addition to the UBC fee to actually teach you through the UBC material in simplicity, so you will have the confidence to pass. The UBC course is very sneaky and tricky and we will ensure you understand the material so it all makes sense.
Here is what you do if you want to be a licensed Real Estate Representative in British Columbia
- It is mandatory to register with UBC Sauder School of Business for the Real Estate Trading Service Course.
- UBC fee is $1150 all taxed in, plus you will need a specific calculator (HP10B11) that you can purchase when you order with UBC.
- You must be 19 years old to get your license.
To register you do so at their website for the Real Estate Trading Services Course. UBC Sauder School of Business has no requirements to register. They will send all the material out to your home in 3-5 days. You are provided 1 year to teach yourself through all the material of math and law, plus complete 20 assignments. The end goal is to write the UBC Sauder School of Business Real Estate Exam and pass!
UBC Educational requirements
If you do not have the English requirements stated below then the English Language Proficiency Requirement may be satisfied by achieving a level 7 or higher on each of the four components (reading, writing, speaking and listening) of the Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program – General (CELPIP-G) test on the same test score report (scores from multiple test attempts cannot be combined). Always go to the UBC website to ensure their requirements.
You will not have to take the ELPR if you:
- Have graduated from a recognized university Bachelor’s degree or higher degree program at an accredited university, college or technical institute at which English is the primary language of instruction; or
- Have been registered or licensed in another Canadian jurisdiction with English language standards and have satisfied that jurisdiction’s English language requirements
How do I send in my Assignment Answers and does Real Smart help with them?
UBC will be sending you a student number. Once you have this and you have completed an assignment, you will then log into their website and enter your answers there. This area is where you will be submitting your assignment answers as well as see your results. Bulletins are here as well for any mistakes UBC has made or any changes to the program will all be listed here. You are permitted to submit 2 assignments only in one week, and we will help you if you have any questions! We can assist you if you have any questions.
